At its meeting on Thursday, January 18th, the State Water Resources Control Board approved the funding recommendations for Proposition 50 Implementation Grant Integrated Regional Water Management projects. The Watersheds Coalition of Ventura County Proposal for $25 million (including 11 projects) was one of three proposals recommended for funding by the State Board. The remaining four projects out of 7 total successful proposals in Step 2 will be funded by DWR. Now the real work begins!!The WCVC thanks all of the members of the grant team and the project proponents for all their hard work putting the proposal together. We also want to thank the many State staff who worked on this program; guiding us, answering our questions and reviewing all of our proposals. This has been a major effort for all involved.

A media event will be conducted in the near future to inform the local community about the projects that will be made possible with this grant. Stay tuned for details regarding this event.
